A Day of Reflection and Remembrance

The 2026 Memorial Day Parade was scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in Media, Pennsylvania. Although weather forced the cancellation of the parade, the community came together at the Towne House Restaurant for a special Memorial Day ceremony honoring our nation’s fallen heroes. The ceremony provided a moment for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance as participants gathered to recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Through speeches, performances, and moments of silence, the event served as a powerful reminder that honoring our fallen heroes is not dependent on the weather, but on the enduring respect and gratitude of the communities they helped protect.

The U.S. Veterans Legacy Project extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who attended and helped make the ceremony possible despite the challenging weather conditions.

Gold Star Mother Judy Faunce shared the story of her son, Captain Brian Faunce, who made the ultimate sacrifice during Operation Iraqi Freedom, reminding all in attendance at the 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony of the enduring cost of freedom and the strength of military families.
