As passionate and committed members of the greater Philadelphia community, the veterans of Delaware County Veteran’s Legacy sponsored a Philadelphia Eagles Pride Parade this past Sunday, February 5th, 2023 in Media in light of the Eagles’ upcoming appearance at Super Bowl LVII.
A History of Eagle Pride
It’s only been a few short years since the Eagles took to the field at Super Bowl LII and defeated the Patriots during the 2017 season, but fans are still excited to show off their spirit. This Sunday’s game will be the Eagles’ fourth appearance in a Super Bowl Game (1980, 2004, 2017) – but the history of Philadelphia Eagles pride goes back to their formation in 1933.
Delaware County Veterans and the Community
Known for the patriotic, highly-attended parades during Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day in Media, PA, the Delaware County Veteran’s Legacy not only puts on events to honor veterans but to celebrate and promote the community. Most recently, the veterans were the main sponsor for the Eagles’ Pride Parade featuring a very honored guest – Kane Kalas. Here is a brief recap of the event:
As we look forward to the 2023 Memorial and Veteran’s Day Parades, we want to remind everyone in Media and in the surrounding communities that we are dedicated to building and promoting community pride and celebrating the many incredible people who have lived in and loved our town.
